  • Soybean Surges 1% In World Markets As US Crop Outlook Supports Sentiments

  • The global Soybean markets are turning higher on ideas that the US farmers will plant lower soybean acreage. The USDA, in its March Prospective Plantings Report pegged the 2021 US 2021 Soybean acreage at 87.6 million compared to the USDA's Outlook Forum estimate of 90.0 million. This helped the commodity bounce from a near two month low and good upmove continued as a bounce above $14 per bushel extended. The commodity is seeing good buying now, taking the futures to multi year highs amid largely supportive US equities and renewed worries over the crop in North Dakota and South Dakota amid dry weather concerns. The commodity is currently trading up 1% at $14.63 per bushel.
