Muhurat Trading for Diwali/Samvat 2082 will be conducted on Tuesday, 21 October 2025, by both NSE and BSE. This year, the session has been scheduled in the afternoon instead of the usual evening slot. The schedule begins with a Block Deal Session from 1:15 PM to 1:30 PM, followed by the Pre-open Session from 1:30 PM to 1:45 PM. The special Muhurat Trading session will run from 1:45 PM to 2:45 PM, after which the trade modification window will remain open till 3:15 PM. Considered highly auspicious, Muhurat Trading marks the beginning of the new Samvat year (2082) in the Hindu calendar, and investing during this time is believed to bring prosperity and good fortune. All trades executed during the Muhurat session will carry the same settlement obligations as regular trading days, and markets will otherwise remain closed on Diwali-Laxmi Pujan.
