  • Nifty IT index closed down 1.88% at 28689.05 today. The index has gained 3.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Persistent Systems Ltd dropped 4.38%, Coforge Ltd shed 3.85% and Mphasis Ltd fell 3.67%. The Nifty IT index has fallen 4.00% over last one year compared to the 12.25% increase in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Realty index gained 1.19% and Nifty Auto index gained 1.09% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 recorded a gain of 0.03% to close at 18599 while the SENSEX increased 0.01% to close at 62792.88 today.
