About

Incorporated in 1979, D R Industries, now renamed D R Softech & Industries Ltd, has its twisting and texturising facilities at Ankleshwar in the Bharuch district of Gujarat with a capacity to process 1600 tpa of PET-POY yarn. The company is steadily moving towards value-added products. It has acquired a new unit at Ankleshwar to process cationic dyed micro filament, intermingled yarn and fancy yarn. To consolidate further, the company plans to put up a POY plant of 10,000 tpa. It also proposes to install a 25,000-spindle 100% EOU. Both the projects are planned at unit II of Ankleshwar where 50,000 sq mtr of leasehold plot is yet to be utilised. The company also plans to diversify in food processing and wind energy. It plans to install a 2-MW wind power generation plant for which the location is yet to be decided. During the year 1995-96 the company made huge losses to the tune of Rs 8.11 crores. The company blamed it on the general slackness in market, lack of demand and scarcity of working capital. There was no forex earning during the year. The company has diversified its activities into Software development. During 2000-01, the companies reference to BIFR under SICA has been registered and BOB has been appointed as Operating agency.
